SYNOPSIS Everything on this earth is owned by God and He gives us all temporary ownership over them. He allows us to use them freely to fulfill His purposes here on earth. We are all on mission here; therefore all of what we have must be seen as tools to accomplishing that mission. The book explores stewardship of time, talent and treasure as seed, which must be planted in God’s vineyard to bear good and lasting fruit. Each person has been gifted to serve; each has been given much so that we in turn can give to others. God entrusts time in your hands to fulfill your mission, it says, “Time does not exist in isolation, time exists to fulfill purpose…..time properly invested will produce a good harvest. The seed of time is the main ingredient in anything creative, anything beautiful, anything exquisite, and anything priceless. “ God gifts you with talent and creativity to empower you to achieve and to accomplish. He empowers you with treasures to meet your needs, to enhance your life and that of others. The book will empower you to explore your creative genius as a person who is gifted, it states “Creativity is the predisposing of yourself to discover the details of the gifts and talents that are hidden within you, utilizing the resources around you. To be creative is to respond passionately to your natural urge to build, to sing, to paint, to teach, to write, to do that which comes naturally to you. It is a growth process that compels you in a positive way to build up on new ideas and to develop what you have discovered in yourself” At the end of our Stewardship, each person will be called upon to give an account of what he has done with he has been given. The book explores the power of words in the life of the individual, words can build but words can also destroy. Our minds process the negatives better than the positive therefore more often than not, we self fulfill the negative that we hear from others. It shows you the importance of decisiveness in planting good seeds and in taking risks if one is to succeed. It will help you to overcome fear and to break the barriers of low self esteem and procrastination to take your tasks to a successful completion. Each person is of invaluable worth in the eyes of God. It therefore shows the you how to understand your own worth in the eyes of God and how to allow God to show you the value that you are to yourself and to others, it says, “the inherent dignity in each person is the inalienable worth that God has placed in him and the absolute and unconditional love that God has for him…..yet in spite of what we plant and what we reap, God’s thirst for us in unquenchable. He has loved us with a perfect, constant and all consuming love from the beginning of time”” The importance of formulating a plan for undertaking your God-given endeavor is crucial to your success. It demonstrates the importance of role models and what you can learn from the success and failure of others. You will learn from these pages how to seek and walk in the favour of God. It will take your prayer life to a new dimension with the dynamics of prayer and fasting that are discussed. Prayer and fasting are seen as seed when once they are planted, will bring a harvest of victory. This book will teach you how to pay attention to the seasons of your life so you will know when you must plant and when you must reap. At the end of your season of planting there will be a season of reaping, your harvest time. Your time, talent and treasure that are used for the glory of God, and planted in His vineyard will in time, reap a harvest of the appropriate reward, in that regard the it says, says “My friends do not be too quick to judge those whose branches appear to be bent out of shape or who are on the verge of being broken. The corn stalks hang their heads down in the field because they are ripe. The closer the stalk is bent towards the ground the more ears of corn to harvest. In the same way the harvest will one day be ripe for those who are burdened by the cares of family and the burdens of family life, those who labour under the calling of their ministry, and those who hurt because of the way of life of their sons and daughters…the harvest will be ripe for those who prayed with a sincere heart full of love….” |
